The view of other surrounding greenery and terraced vineyard was spectacular and our room was nicely decorated and well-appointed.

Location so close to the beautiful Douro valley with fantastic views of the Douro river and the mountains as well as hiking and mountain biking. Well-equipped room with king size beds.

The room we had was amazing, it had a balcony with nice views, and a private terrace; Breakfast was served in the pool area with freshly cooked different food every day. Rewritten: Our room was fantastic, with a balcony offering lovely views and a private terrace, and we enjoyed breakfast by the pool area with a variety of freshly cooked options each day.

Thank you very much all for a very nice stay on our long vacation. It was huge, good sized and with a balcony. The pool area was amazing and the location was amazing, so close to a beautiful forest for hiking and mountain biking and a high hill overlooking Douro Valley, river and beautiful vines.

The free additional hotel offers ( e.g. tree climbing ) . There were free offers for every day. Really great !!!! The hotel has a very special charm. Old vineyard.
Dinner. Unfortunately not as good as expected for this high-priced house. ( Well, tastes are different ) but here is generally still need for action. Selection of dishes and presentation (the chicken was really badly prepared).

Great location and condition, great breakfast and excellent service
In the direct confirmation email of the hotel (a few days before arrival) there was a wrong price and breakfast included. Neither was correct.

Everything perfect for romance.
The Villa option is apart from the main building but you have full privacy in return.

Extremely nice staff: friendly, courteous, attentive, humorous, professional. Great breakfast, very nice spa area, modern and very comfortable rooms, huge wine selection, great menu also in the bar. The restaurant is also excellent but also very expensive.

Over the New Year, my stay at this hotel was fabulous. The breathtaking view of the surrounding nature and the well-decorated areas made me feel at home. I particularly enjoyed the spacious rooms with smart storage spaces and the intuitive technology for a comfortable stay. Furthermore, the location of the hotel, with its endless vineyards and the pathway along the river, was truly enchanting.
On the downside, the elevator system within the hotel was confusing and seemed like a maze. Additionally, the hotel is located quite far from other attractions, making it a bit inconvenient for those who wish to explore the surrounding areas.

The hotel design, the beautiful scenario of the douro hills and the overall tranquility.
The untidiness of the room. The layout and in-room glass partitions not allow a desirable level of intimacy/privacy. No particular attention or pampering from hotel staff.

Fantastic location, we loved the old monastery transformed into a luxury spa hotel with beautiful gardens. We got spoiled by a very friendly and professional staff. The spa and pool were divine!!!
We liked less the interior design, too dark for our taste. We also had problems with the bathroom fittings, and the electric switches (too complicated)
